Have you prepared for next week’s celebration? Have you stocked up on tissues, Chocolate Hobnobs, Earl Grey tea, beer, sandwiches and Union flags? Will you be having a street party?
Here at IP Draughts we are clearing the decks so that we can give our full attention to the big day. Clients have been asked not to contact us, blog items will be recorded in advance, and an emergency generator has been hired in case – just in case – our power supply goes down on the day.
We look forward to discussing it with you once it is all over. Have a happy World IP Day next Tuesday!
In case you were wondering how best to celebrate the happy event, you may be inspired by some of the celebrations being planned around the world, as described on the WIPO website. They include:
Trinidad and Tobago: An IP exhibition at the passenger arrival terminal, Port of Scarborough, Scarborough, Tobago
Saudi Arabia: King Abdulaziz & his Companions Foundation for the Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba) in collaboration with the General Directorate of Patents, King Abdul-Aziz City for Science and Technology (KACST) and King Saud University have organized a range of activities including the establishment of a committee of IP specialists, and the development and launch of a new website
Tanzania: The Tanzania Intellectual Property Rights Network TIP-Net is organizing an IP Palaver on April 30 in Arusha
IP Draughts is intrigued by the idea of an IP Palaver, and wonders whether any readers have been involved in one.
Reblogged this on IP Draughts and commented:
IP PALAVER!
To balance the gloominess of the last posting, here is an article from this blog’s first year, celebrating World IP Day!
