IP Draughts is delighted to announce the publication of the 4th edition of Execution of Documents, which is published by the Law Society of England and Wales. He received his 6 free copies in the post today, and it should be available more widely in about a week’s time.
We were originally commissioned to write the first edition of this work about 20 years ago. The latest edition runs to 490 pages. It describes the formalities for valid execution of a range of types of documents – e.g. contracts, deeds, powers of attorney, affidavits, and statutory declarations – by a range of types of organisation, including individuals, companies, universities, and overseas bodies. There are chapters on electronic signatures.

Hi Folks. Sorry to be specific, but does this cover the execution of a deed in counterpart and loss of capacity (or death) of a party that signed sealed and executed before all other parties have done so? Best H- (not that I have this exact issue now.)
Wow, that is a fact-specific question. In discussion with my colleague we have come up with 4 or 5 further questions that might affect the answer. If this is a current issue I suggest you seek legal advice from a solicitor.
